Insight Global Ranked No. 2 Among US IT Staffing Firms for Fifth Year
Insight Global has once again been named the second-largest IT staffing firm in the United States, marking its fifth consecutive year in the No. 2 position on Staffing Industry Analysts’ annual ranking.
The 2026 list ranks staffing firms according to their U.S. IT staffing revenue from the previous year. Insight Global’s IT staffing division generated an estimated $3.28 billion in domestic revenue during 2025, reinforcing its position as one of the industry’s most significant talent providers.
While many staffing organizations continue to navigate economic uncertainty and shifting workforce demands, Insight Global reported that its IT openings grew 13% year over year. The company said demand has been particularly strong for professionals working in data engineering, software development, DevOps, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
Those hiring trends reflect a broader reality facing employers: Even when overall hiring slows, organizations still need specialized technology talent to modernize systems, manage data, strengthen digital infrastructure, and implement emerging technologies.
For recruiters and staffing leaders, Insight Global’s continued growth highlights the value of maintaining strong candidate pipelines in technical areas before hiring demand peaks. Organizations relying solely on reactive recruiting may struggle to compete when clients suddenly need professionals with highly specific skills.
It also demonstrates how staffing companies are expanding beyond traditional talent placement. Insight Global has increasingly positioned itself as a talent, consulting, and AI company, offering workforce solutions alongside services in cloud, data, enterprise operations, applied engineering, and artificial intelligence. The company recently introduced IG Labs, its AI services and products practice, as part of that expansion.
The shift reflects how the staffing industry is evolving. Clients are no longer looking only for resumes. They increasingly expect staffing partners to understand their business challenges, identify workforce gaps, build teams quickly, and support larger transformation initiatives.
That puts added pressure on recruiters to work efficiently. Applicant tracking systems can help staffing teams organize candidate pipelines, automate routine communication, track client submissions, and maintain visibility throughout the hiring process. As firms scale their services and compete for specialized talent, the ability to manage recruiting activity within one centralized system becomes increasingly important.
Insight Global reported that overall demand for its services increased 15% year over year as the company continued investing in consulting, AI, and enterprise transformation capabilities.
Its fifth consecutive No. 2 ranking demonstrates that scale still matters in staffing—but so do adaptability, technology, and the ability to respond quickly as client needs change.
